If you want any feelings of Christmas cheer to rapidly leave your system, read this rather grim Wall Street Journal article about how the markets reacted to the Feds quarter point cut yesterday. When shares fall on a rate cut and LIBOR refuses to budge, it is hardly encouraging. The levers are being pulled but it is making no difference.
